Why I want to be a correspondent in Latin America? 

I grew up in Colombia in the 1990s in a war context. News coverage of the violence there was far from neutral, it was more like a show about heroes

and villains. Since an early age, that motivated me to become a journalist. I wanted to search for the invisible angles of the story and cover more than one reality. In 2010 I moved to Europe to enroll in a Multimedia Journalist Master. Before leaving Colombia, I worked as a video producer in rural conflict-affected áreas. Having lived and worked in Spain and then Germany for the last 12 years, focusing mostly on international news, I was able to broaden my perspective on Colombian and Latin America realities.
